This month The Art Newspaper, a leading international monthly publication, honored the research conducted by Charles King Steiner on museums's support of working artists. A synopsis of Steiner's 2021 lecture at a Washington DC area artist association was published in the newspaper's February 2023 issue. The article and the lecture address current art museums' policies towards recognizing working artists as an audience group much in the same way as cultural institutions recognize children, senior citizens, art historians, etc. ( The Art Newspaper No. 353, Feb. 2023, page 18) .
